A pair of lovely old glass bottles too attractive not to be proudly on show. These would look super as bud vases for a small posy or a larger single stem. Please take a look at the photos to see the patina and embossing detail mentioned.

The smaller of the two bottles (the darker of the two) is an early antique bottle and has an attractive 'skittle' shape. This embossed glass aqua blue bottle was made for J W Cameron & Co Ltd brewery in West Hartlepool, County Durham. The brewery was founded in 1852 by William Waldon and leased to John William Cameron in 1872 with 16 public houses. He later purchased the the brewery in 1893.

The bottle is in good vintage condition with a lovely patina and measures 18cm tall x 6.5cm wide at the fullest part. It has embossed wording: 'JW Cameron & Co Limited' and 'West Hartlepool'.

The larger bottle, also an attractive skittle shape and aqua blue in colour, is from the Caley Brewery which is part of the Caledonian Brewery in Edinburgh. The embossing on this bottle dates it to 1901-1910. The wording is: 'CALEY' with a trademark emblem and 'Eau Artificielle'. On the reverse side it has the embossing: 'By appointment to HM The King'. This is King Edward V11 who followed Queen Victoria.

In good vintage condition with a mild patina it measures 21cm tall x 7.5cm wide at the fullest part.
