An attractive collection of vintage British glass bottle phials perfect for adding style and interest to the home. The ideal size for a single bloom or small posy.

One of the two small bottles has a pitchfork mark on the base which has helped to identify it. It was made by Johnsen & Jorgensen Flint Glass Ltd. established in 1884 by Wilhelm M. Johnsen and Johan Jorgensen. Originally from Norway, Johnsen and Jorgensen, were owners of a glass factory in Surte, Gothenburg and came to London as agents for cod liver oil, and polar bears.

They began glass production in Farringdon Street, London, and then in 1920, built a large factory in Charlton just east of Greenwich on the river Thames with a large jetty for import and export. They made glass phials (small bottles for medicines) and hydrometers.

It is likely that the other two bottles in this collection are also by the same manufacturer.

Size of two small bottles: approx 8cm tall x 4cm diameter.
The large bottle: approx 12.5cm tall x 3cm diameter.

The bottles are in excellent vintage condition with a lovely patina with no chips or cracks.
